There are psychological and physiological benefits to exercise. Psychologically, you build up endorphins that give you a very positive outlook towards life and you really feel good about yourself and about your capabilities. It also gives you a feeling of physical sturdiness so you have more confidence in yourself and when you have more confidence you stand straighter and people look at you with greater respect. You are sharper, you enjoy life more and your quality of life is better. Physiologically, exercise conditions the heart which improves the whole cardiovascular system. It improves coordination and provides homeostasis for the body. In other words, your body functions to maintain a normal balance.
